Meet the Team

My name is Dana Tribble, and I am in my third year at Black Hills State University. I am majoring in psychology and minoring in biology. Eventually, I plan to pursue a PhD in the field of neuroscience. I grew up in the Pacific Northwest, so naturally I have an affinity for hiking and camping (even in the cold months!). I love spending time with my daughter, I teach her everything I know, and she teaches me more than she will ever realize. My whole life I have been very interested in the behavior of people and the causes of those behaviors. After being in school for a couple of years, I have come to find that neuroscience is endlessly fascinating to me. Currently, I am especially interested in perception and memory. As such, I am honored and excited to have been invited to work in the cognition lab and I hope to gain so much from this experience.

Dr. Eric Clapham, associate professor at Black Hills State University, teaches a variety of courses that include statistics, sensation & perception, and biopsychology. Eric received his bachelors degree in psychology from the University of Arizona (Go Cats!), and earned his PhD from the University of Nevada in 2009, where he specialized in Cognitive Neuroscience. His research interests are largely focused on nonconscious information processing, primarily higher order cognition and how nonconscious information influences perception. Eric enjoys spending time with his family, who all enjoy hiking, camping, and simply spending time in nature. Eric is also a golfer and avid mountain biker, taking full advantage of the Black Hills, well at least during the summer.

Hi, my name is David Zacher. I am a psychology major and getting a minor in business administration. My plan is to acquire a PhD in neuroscience. I am mostly interested in psychology to learn the functions of the brain. I grew up in South Dakota, so a lot of the activities I've had as a kid I still participate in. These activities include bowling, skiing, golfing and hiking. I believe that research is a great way to learn about questions in the field and get experience to run studies of my own.

Hi! My name is Kathleen Kuzmic. I am a senior here at BH studying Psychology and Sociology, with a specific interest in Health Psychology. I love to learn! So, once I obtain my second Degree in May of 2023, my plans are to attend Grad School and receive a master's in Health Psych. I initially began studying Psych so that I could better understand myself and the people around me, but it turns out there is a lot more to the field in terms of understanding behavior, which made it easy to join this lab. In my free time I enjoy the outdoors- I love to backpack, hike, ski, and run- and I also like to play the piano and scrapbook.
